Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Deposit & Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the estimated event cost is required to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the event date. The deposit confirms your reservation and is non-refundable regardless of cancellation circumstances.

2. Cancellation Policy

More than 60 days before event: Cancellation results in forfeiture of the 50% deposit. Remaining balance is refunded less any costs incurred.

30-60 days before event: 50% deposit is forfeited. An additional 25% of the remaining balance is non-refundable due to preparation costs.

14-29 days before event: 50% deposit is forfeited. An additional 50% of remaining balance is non-refundable.

Less than 14 days before event: The full contract price is non-refundable. All services become the responsibility of the client, and payment in full is required.

3. Event Date Changes

Changes to the event date requested 60+ days before the original date are accommodated subject to availability with no additional charge. Changes within 60 days may incur rescheduling fees. Changes within 14 days cannot be accommodated.

4. Guest Count Changes

Final guest count must be confirmed 7 days prior to the event. Increases in guest count are accommodated if capacity allows. Decreases in guest count do not result in refunds if they occur within 7 days of the event. Menu selections cannot be changed within 7 days of the event.

5. Force Majeure

In cases of unforeseeable circumstances beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, extreme weather, government orders), Gather & Plate Catering will attempt to reschedule your event. If rescheduling is not possible, you may either forfeit the deposit or apply it toward a future event within 12 months.

6. Service Performance Issues

If Gather & Plate Catering fails to provide contracted services due to our error or negligence, you may request a partial refund equivalent to the value of services not provided. Claims must be made in writing within 30 days of the event. We will investigate and respond within 14 days.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days. If the original payment method is no longer available, refunds will be issued by check or alternative agreed-upon method.

8. Service Modifications

Menu modifications made 30+ days before the event are accommodated at no additional charge. Changes within 30 days may incur charges. Changes within 7 days cannot be accommodated.

9. Payment Method Protection

We accept major credit cards for payments. Customers using credit cards have additional protections under their card issuer's policies. Disputes must be initiated with your card issuer within the timeframe specified in your card agreement.

10. Dispute Resolution

If you dispute a charge, please contact us immediately at hello@gatherandplate.com or (123) 456-7890. We will review your claim and respond within 10 business days. If not resolved, disputes may proceed to arbitration.
